Honda Civic Tour Artist Oh Honey Releases New EP
Brooklyn-based alternative pop duo Oh Honey is one step closer to making a huge splash in the music industry, according to this press release.
They have not only released their second EP entitled “Sincerely Yours” this past week on ITunes and all leading DSPs, but they are also set to appear in the upcoming Honda Civic Tour alongside fellow musicians American Authors.
Oh Honey’s latest EP “Sincerely Yours” isn’t their break into the music industry, though. In fact, it is their second one. The Fueled By Ramen/Atlantic recording group’s debut EP “With Love” gave them the Top 25 Breakthrough hit “Be Okay.”
The two EPs are the first half of a four part installment of EPs called “The Postcard Series.” The next two EPs will be titled “Wish You Were Here” and “Until Next Time,” and they are slated to be released in early 2015.
According to the press release, fans should check back at ohhoneymusic.com for more specific dates at a later time.
Oh Honey is led by Mitchy Collins and Danielle Bouchard, who came together in 2013. While they may be new to the game, they grabbed audiences’ attention from the get-go with their harmonic vocals and catchy choruses.
Before they were even signed, they performed regularly at showcases such as the CMJ and South By Southwest (SXSW). Unsurprisingly, the pair was signed just a year later in February 2014 and released their breakthrough single “Be Okay” soon after.
The single proved to be more successful than they could have imagined. “Be Okay” was a top 25 hit at Hot AC outlets across the nation, as well as the chosen song for several campaigns, a featured song on a wide range of shows such as Fox’s “Glee” and “Red Band Society,” ABC’s “Self,” Dreamworks’ “The Hundred Foot Journey” and the theme song for commercials like Google Android and Chili’s Bar and Grill.
After all of the success that “With Love” and “Be Okay” have given the group, Oh Honey is more than happy for their featured role in the Honda Civic Tour, which has already seen them alongside The Fray and fellow label member, James Blunt.
Select tour dates will begin October 21 at The Moon in Tallahassee, Florida, perfectly coinciding with the release of “Sincerely Yours.”
The group is hoping to generate some buzz for their latest EP in “The Postcard Series.” The tour will keep this pair busy through mid-November and will show them performing alongside American Authors.
