NIC is a fast growing IT consulting firm located in Encino, CA. We service clients throughout the Greater Los Angeles area as well as Orange County, in the financial, medical, and real estate industries. We are looking for a reliable Billing Clerk to perform tasks that will help us monitor our revenue. This position is responsible for preparing invoices, credit memos, posting payments, and updating records. This requires great organizational skills, problem-solving skills, good critical thinking skills, being detail orientated, and ability to multi-task. We are seeking an applicant with desire for a long-term position and opportunity for advancement. We require a high school diploma or its equivalent and 1-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Bearing in mind that we are an IT service provider, as the Billing Clerk you will be reviewing the work performed notes from out IT technicians. As a result, you will be communicating with technicians regularly to confirm the accuracy of billable work. Since we are in the IT industry basic IT understanding is preferred, but not required.

Due to the anticipated volume of responses, we will contact only those candidates who most closely match our requirements and only local candidates will be considered. Skill test will be administered during the interview process.

Job Description:

Billing Clerk:
- Review technician notes of work performed (for accuracy & billable items)
- Issue invoices to clients
- Process credit memos
- Enter invoices and credit memos into QuickBooks
- Post payments in Ticketing system, QuickBooks, and client file
- Answer questions and handle complaints from clients regarding invoices
- Send reminders for payments and contact clients when assigned
- Update client information
- Copy, scan, and file documents
- Report on activity to upper management

- Professional attire required
- Fluent in English (Verbal & Written)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area
- Experience working in an office; filing, scanning, telephone coverage, data entry, and business correspondence
- Knowledge of operating standard office equipment
- Proficient in QuickBooks
- Experience using Outlook for business purposes
- Strong Word skills
- Some Excel skills (ability to create formulas in Excel) is a plus
- Reliable home internet connection (for disaster recovery purposes)
- Ability to type over 35 WPM is a plus
- Primary Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm (40 hours per week)
- Other shifts option from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Weekend Training

Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary $15.00-$20.00 / hour (depending on experience)
